Program Safety Coordinator – University of Sydney
Join a dynamic and collaborative team at the University of Sydney as a Program Safety Coordinator. In this pivotal role, you’ll serve as a safety advisor for multiple projects, ensuring the University’s initiatives meet all quality, WHS, and environmental standards. Positioned within the Risk Services team, you’ll assess work practices, conduct on-site safety assurance, and create a safe environment for the University community.
As a leader in safety, you’ll drive initiatives, influence key projects, and foster a strong safety culture across various work sites. By using data insights, you’ll continuously improve safety performance and support program safety governance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement safety templates and processes to enhance safety governance.
* Perform on-site safety assessments to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
* Support safety reporting and coordinate continuous improvement across projects.
* Review safety documentation and provide guidance on permit approvals.
* Foster a positive, proactive safety culture through collaboration with teams.
