This role is critical in providing financial insights, monitoring program finances, and supporting sustainability and growth initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage budgets for all funded programs and CASA's operational activities.Provide financial forecasting and scenario analysis to support decision-making.Assist in business case development for new initiatives, programs, and funding applications.Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting standards and funding requirements.Prepare timely financial reports, including cash flow forecasts, profit and loss statements, and budget variance reports.Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, funding agreements, and financial governance requirements.Liaise with external accountants and auditors to ensure smooth end-of-year financial processes.Identify cost-saving opportunities and financial efficiencies across the organisation.Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard CASA's financial position.Provide oversight of financial controls and ensure compliance with audit and governance frameworks.Strategic Support & Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with the management team to align financial strategies with CASA's strategic objectives.Support funding applications and acquittals by providing accurate financial analysis and reporting.Provide financial insights to support grant applications and government funding submissions.Mandatory RequirementsCurrent Class C Driver's LicenceBlue Card QLD (Clearance to work with children)NDIS Worker Screening Clearance CardDesired Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) preferred.Experience in financial management, budgeting, and strategic financial planning within the non-profit or community sector.Proven ability to prepare and interpret financial reports, including budget variances and cash flow projections.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide data-driven insights.Experience working with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB).High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial projects simultaneously.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial staff.Benefits AvailableAttractive employer superannuation contribution and access to salary sacrifice options.A supportive team environment with opportunities for professional development.Meaningful work contributing to the sustainability and growth of CASA's housing and support programs.
