About the divisionThe State Records Office is the Western Australian public records authority with responsibility for managing, preserving and providing access to the state's records of information. Established under the State Records Act 2000, it is part of Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and supports the State Records Commission in its statutory role under the Act.
About the roleJoin our team as a key contributor to ensuring State Archives are well managed, secure and accessible to the community. The State Records Office seeks to establish a pool of Archive professionals to control, preserve and make the State Archives Collection accessible. We are looking to appoint to permanent, fixed term, full time and part time positions, as they arise over the next 12 months.
In this role, you will provide expert guidance on digital repository management, data transfer, migration, and preservation strategies. You'll also play a vital role in documenting records in the Series Registration System. Additionally, you'll assist clients in accessing Government records and support various team initiatives within the directorate.
