We are looking to grow our team of High Intensity Support Professionals on the Northwest Coast of Tasmania. This role requires a Certificate 3 in Individual Support, or equivalent experience.

Some points about this role:
* Support High Intensity participants in a 2:1 SIL environment
* Use Active Support principles to provide high quality supports in line with participant support plans, including community access, in-home support, personal care, meal preparation, cleaning etc
* Be responsible for timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks, such as shift reports, incident reports, support documentation, reconciliation of funds
As a successful candidate you will have:
* Demonstrated motivation to work with people with disabilities
* Experience supporting High Intensity participants, including proven ability to support individuals in line with behaviour support plans
* Strong understanding of client safety, restrictive practices and NDIS guidelines
* Willingness to undertake training in working with individuals who present with challenging and/or aggressive behaviours.
* A strong desire to have positive effect on people with disabilities, and a commitment supporting and promoting their individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals.
* IT skills to a level where you are able to use the Microsoft Office suite, complete shift reports, maintain a communication diary, program notes etc.
* Sound communication skills – verbal and written.
* Effective time management skills.
* Desire and commitment towards working with people from diverse cultures.
* Good standards of professional behaviour.
What qualifications you’ll need to be successful in this role:
* Certificate III in Individual Support, or equivalent experience
* First Aid & CPR
* Assist Clients with Medication
* Current and unrestricted drivers licence
* Up to date Covid Vaccination Status
* Working with Vulnerable People and NDIS Screening Check.
