International tourism and transport company ASX listed with 12,500+ employees globally Access to a range of Employee Benefits About the Role The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the discovery, preparation and presentation of data that provides the decision-makers in the Kelsian Group and its subsidiaries with accurate information and meaningful insights.
Duties Support Strategic Goals : Ensure that your work aligns with and supports the strategic objectives of the Data & Analytics team and Technology department.
Data Management : Identify and integrate data from various sources, including in-house and third-party systems, and apply data transformation and modelling techniques to structure, sanitise, and secure data for analysis.
Generate Insights : Analyse data sets to identify trends and patterns and generate actionable information and insights for decision-making.
Report and Dashboard Creation : Develop, maintain, and review reports and dashboards tailored for different user groups, including operational staff, project teams, and senior management.
Documentation and Process Improvement : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation such as user requirements, guides, and technical specifications; contribute to enhancing data and analytics processes and policies.
Collaboration and Coaching : Work with business users to translate their needs into data and analytics requirements and provide coaching and support to end users and data professionals across the organisation.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Analytical Skills : Strong ability to identify trends and patterns in data, enabling insightful analysis and decision-making.
Technical Proficiency : Skilled in database technologies, data transformation methodologies, and competent in SQL; familiarity with Python or other data programming languages is also beneficial.
Reporting and Visualisation : Expertise in using reporting and data visualisation tools to create effective and user-friendly reports and dashboards.
Communication Skills : Clearly communicating complex data findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Attention to Detail : High attention to detail and accuracy in work, ensuring reliable and precise data analysis and reporting.
Tertiary qualification in numerical, analytical, or computational disciplines (or equivalent experience).
Two or more years of experience working with data and/or analytics in a corporate environment, ideally within the passenger transport, tourism, or corporate finance industries.
