Working across a Monday to Friday roster, you will deliver facilities and building maintenance services, to ensure a safe and secure environment for all building occupants and visitors.Key Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Effectively and efficiently manage the overall maintenance of apartments, common areas and building exteriorComplete general repairs such as plumbing, electrical, plant and machinery, light bulb changes, painting, plastering and carpentryCommunicate with contractors and understand the workings of all equipmentObtain written quotes for approval by the University, where requiredObtain all warranties and operations manuals for all plant equipmentEstablish systems and procedures to facilitate preventative maintenance programs including selection of suppliers and support system, meeting budget and standard requirements as set by management.Obtain written quotes for approval, where requiredWhat we are looking for:Similar experience within student accommodation or hospitality industryTrade qualification will be highly regardedConfident computer skills including ability to use various systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)You will have a 'safety first' mindset, and an understanding of basic OH&S principles and chemical handlingAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamEffective verbal and written communication skillsYou will possess a positive, can-do attitudeValid Australian Drivers Licence and reliable vehicleNSW Working with Children's Check (WWCC)Current National Police Check (or willing to obtain)Valid work rights in AustraliaWhy UniLodge: Across our workforce we have built an enviable culture of trust, engagement, collaboration, and fun.
