About the Role:
We are currently seeking experienced MC drivers to join our team working FIFO (from Adelaide or Port Augusta) at Carrapateena, carting copper concentrate to Whyalla and occasionally to Olympic Dam or Prominent Hill. This is a great opportunity for drivers with multi-combo road train experience, including road ranger gearboxes and side-tippers. You'll be responsible for completing one run per day, operating under strict safety and efficiency standards.
The role involves a rotating 2/1 roster, with both day and night shifts, and sometimes the flexibility of a 19/9 shift option. Accommodation and meals are supplied on-site at the camp.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operating multi-combination road trains and side-tippers to cart copper concentrate.
* Completing data entry for load details and other required documentation (computer literacy required).
* Conducting pre-trip checks and ensuring vehicle safety and maintenance.
* Adhering to all safety regulations and best practices in hazardous environments.
* Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of materials, including using a forklift and reach stacker (if qualified).
To Be Successful, You Will Need:
* Unrestricted MC licence (with a minimum of 2 years’ experience operating multi-combo road trains).
* High-risk forklift ticket (required).
* Reach stacker ticket (preferred, but not mandatory).
* Pre-Employment Medical
* Road ranger experience and a solid understanding of heavy vehicle gearboxes.
* Side-tipping experience (ideal, but not mandatory).
* Computer literate with the ability to complete basic data entry tasks.
