Role Overview
Our network of regional workshops support our clients to maximise the efficiency, productivity and safety of their operations.
The success of our operations is founded on a team based approach to projects and you will have the opportunity to work together with, and support a range of qualified tradespeople to be successful on all projects.
Responsibilities
As a Trades Assistant you will play a key role in CPC’s construction and maintenance by:
1. Assisting tradespeople in their activities and duties across a wide range of areas including boiler-making, fitting, scaffolding and general labouring duties
2. Performing scheduled maintenance, where required
3. Carrying out designated tasks as outlined by your manager, supervisor, leading-hand or other tradespeople
You will also drive the maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace.
Skills and Experience
4. Previous experience in an engineering or mining environment
5. Year 10 or equivalent schooling
6. Mechanical trade assistant experience
7. A level of proficiency in a range of maintenance activities
8. Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
9. Able to pass Medical and Drug & Alcohol tests
10. Practical communication and team building abilities
11. Relevant computer literacy
12. Ability to work in remote locations
13. Current WA drivers’ license. A HR License would be advantageous, although not essential
