UGL is an employer with a difference, jump on board and experience our incredible journey.About the roleThe role of the Engineering Manager is to ensure the effective mobilisation, deployment, management and delivery of the work required for a complex multi-discipline Project.
This is a Senior management role that has the responsibility to engage and communicate with multiple internal and external stakeholders and Boards.
This role also has the responsibility of leading a team of engineers to effectively and efficiently deliver the necessary integration and assurance evidence for the Project.
Personnel with general senior technical management experience in complex engineering and construction Projects are encouraged to apply.
The candidate must also have demonstrable experience in the implementation of Integration and Systems Engineering / Safety Assurance processes for complex projects.
Responsibilities include:Develop, communicate and deploy the necessary processes for the Project.Manage, monitor and control the cost, schedule and quality of the deliverables.
Liaise with management in relation to any scope change.Manage a team of engineers responsible for the delivery of the suite of necessary assurance documentation.Represent activities at Customer interactive sessions, Review Boards, internal governance Boards, etc.Interface and resolve high level inter-disciplinary engineering co-ordination issues to ensure best for Project approach is maintained (and championed).Manage the Project supply chain from an integration + SESA perspective to ensure all assurance requirements are met and the necessary artifacts are collated.Ensure that all necessary reviews, verifications and validations are planned and conducted, with required input/ governance from the Heads of Engineering and the Chief Engineer.Facilitate project Safety In Design Reviews, Risk Reviews, etc to meet Project specific requirements.About YouDegree qualification to Bachelor status in Engineering.At least 15 years' cumulative engineering experience; 10 years' experience in road or rail infrastructure Projects preferred.Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.What we offerDiverse opportunities to grow, back yourself and achieve.Flexible working arrangements.Ongoing training for career progression.A competitive remuneration package with salary continuance insurance, employee assistance program for employees and their families, AIA Vitality wellness program and Discounts on private health insurance, vehicles, travel and more.What makes you right for UGLAbility to provide a safe, supportive and positive workplace.Empower a united and collaborative culture.Deliver technical excellence and create efficient, innovative solutions.Build an enviable reputation and the trust of employees, clients and other stakeholders.Genuine concern for safety.UGL – Big projects.
