The Event Manager plays a key role in advancing the school’s strategic goals by fostering a strong sense of community and beyond through engaging events. This dynamic role involves working with a diverse range of stakeholders including students, alumnae, staff, parents, benefactors and local organisations at various levels. Full-Time permanent opportunity Work with a vibrant and creative team On-site/campus role located in the Lower North Shore The Event Manager is a key position, reporting directly to the Chief of Advancement. As a key member of the School, the Event Manager will collaborate with Executive staff, Director of Development, Heads of Department and the Marketing & Communications team. Key Responsibilities The Event Manager plays a key role in planning, coordinating and executing a range of school events. Responsibilities include booking venues, managing catering, coordinating printed materials, overseeing logistics and ensuring proper risk assessments are in place. The role also involves managing RSVPs and hospitality as well as being present at events to oversee operations. The Event Manager will support the Parents' Association, provide strategic advice to the Principal and Chief of Advancement and organise school and community events, including formal ceremonies, fundraising initiatives and performances. They will also oversee the annual alumnae program, foster strong alumnae relationships and collaborate with the Advancement Team to ensure events align with the school’s communications strategy and engage key stakeholders. Key events include formal school occasions (School’s Birthday, Foundation Day, Speech Day), celebrations and dinners (Year 12 Formal, Valedictory Dinner), performance arrangements (concerts, dramatic productions), parent and community events (lectures, major fundraisers) and official alumnae events, both on and off site. Skills & Attributes Prior demonstrated experience in Event Manager or Project Management Experience within the education sector, highly desirable An ability to strategically develop event plans with a high attention to detail and contribute to the school’s vision Exceptional administrative and organisational skills, and IT literacy Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and ability to connect with stakeholders from a range of backgrounds A Commitment to providing high quality services and stewardship of community relations A Collegial, warm and professional demeanour.
