Even if you only meet some of the criteria, we’d love to hear from you.About The ProgramYouth Community Living Support Services (YCLSS) is a NSW government-funded initiative designed to provide time-limited, community-based psychosocial support for young people aged 15 to 24 who are living with serious mental illness. This program specifically supports those who have, or are at risk of developing, functional disabilities due to mental health issues. Delivered across five locations in NSW, YCLSS partners closely with Local Health Districts to offer coordinated and integrated care.YCLSS aims to offer young people flexible support services tailored to their unique needs and goals. All services are provided within a recovery-focused framework, enabling individuals to live in the community with greater self-determination and independence. By offering personalized support, the program helps minimize the risk of chronic disability and the need for frequent hospital admissions, long inpatient stays, and long-term care.About YouAs a Recovery Worker, you will play a key role in guiding young people through the critical stages of their recovery journey. You will support them in areas essential to their transition into adulthood, including social skills, decision-making, teamwork, resilience, healthy lifestyles, and community involvement. Your role will focus on empowering participants to identify and build natural supports that foster recovery and self-management skills.You will work collaboratively with participants, their families, carers, and clinical teams to develop and implement personalized recovery plans. Your ability to build trust and establish meaningful connections will help participants gain the confidence and tools needed to achieve their goals.
