Full-time: 76 or 80 (including ADO) hours per fortnight Fixed term: 12-month contract with potential for extension Salary range: $116,075 - $120,778 full-time equivalent (dependent on experience) Based at 553 St Kilda Road Be a part of the Monash and Alfred research program Staff benefits Department This position is for the Australian Dementia Network (ADNeT) Registry, a national clinical quality registry to drive continuous improvement in quality of care and patient outcomes from the time of diagnosis with dementia or mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Clinical quality registries are tools that measure variable practices which can then be benchmarked across the sector and against evidence based best practice guidelines.The ADNeT Registry has been developed as part of the broader ADNeT initiative, a multi-institutional consortium of dementia researchers and clinicians. The ADNeT Registry is supported by funding from the Australian Government, Department of Health and Aged Care, under the National Clinical Quality Registry Program. The registry is managed by the CORRP unit within the SPHPM, Monash University. The registry captures data on people newly diagnosed with dementia or MCI from the time of diagnosis. The ADNeT Registry has continued to expand with 74 participating sites across Australia and nearly 6000 participants recruited into the registry. Our participating sites include multi-disciplinary memory and cognition disorder clinics, other specialised dementia and MCI diagnostic services, aged care outreach services, and single-discipline physicians (e.g., geriatricians, neurologists, and psychiatrists).PositionThe ADNeT Registry Database Manager will provide database management leadership and take responsibility for the development and ongoing management of the existing ADNeT Registry REDCap databases. The ADNeT Registry Database Manager will also take a primary role in the implementation and ongoing management of a new customised database for the ADNeT Registry. The ADNeT Registry Database Manager will also develop a data quality framework and undertake data quality activities, as well as provide project support to other registry activities as required.Key selection criteriaEducation/QualificationsThe appointee will have: Graduate qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent; and Extensive relevant experience and data management expertise; or An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training EssentialKnowledge and Skills Strong SQL skills for querying, data manipulation, and data transformation. Proficient in using Python for data manipulation, integration and automation tasks. Knowledge of data quality assurance practices and data governance frameworks. Understanding of data security principles, including encryption, user access control, and compliance with regulations. Experience with Data Visualisation: Ability to create informative dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, or similar platforms. API Integration: Understanding of RESTful API integration for data exchange between systems. Desirable Expertise in managing clinical registries, including data collection, validation, and reporting. Familiarity with registry-specific data standards and healthcare terminologies (e.g. AIHW, SNOMED CT). Experience with REDCap: understanding of REDCap functionalities, including import/export, user rights, and API integration Prior experience working with clinical registries, health data, or clinical research databases. Hands on experience of developing and managing REDCap projects, and providing support to end users.
