We're committed to fostering growth for our teams and clients through innovation and teamwork.Our business prides itself on its fast growth and dynamic industry, so we require humans with a vision to work with our small but mighty team.As a global company, we rely on open communication and people speaking up.Job Summary The Finance Assistant will handle daily accounting tasks, bookkeeping, assist with financial reporting, and maintain the accuracy of our financial records.Work closely with the CFO and Financial Controller, contributing to month-end closings, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits and financial analysis.Key Responsibilities Record daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts regularly to ensure financial accuracy.Process invoices, payments, and receipts, and follow up on outstanding invoices with clients and vendors as necessary.Manage employee expense reports, verifying and categorising expenses for accurate financial reporting.Support monthly and yearly financial close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliation.Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements under the guidance of senior accountants.Help gather documentation and data needed for audits and assist in responding to auditor inquiries.Enter financial data into the accounting system and conduct routine reviews to identify discrepancies.Handle other finance-related administrative duties as required, supporting the finance and accounting team.Qualifications & Requirements Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.1-2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a similar role is a must Must have experience in Xero or Quickbooks as well as be proficiency in other accounting software (e.g, Microsoft Excel, and general ledger functions) Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.Ability to identify discrepancies and work through issues methodically.Good written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.This role is a Monday to Thursday role with 3-4 days in our new offices in Green Square If you have the experience, happy to wear multiple hats we want to hear from you.
