The Head of ESG / ESG Manager will drive the implementation of ESG strategies, policies, and frameworks and conducting thorough ESG assessments and identifying sustainability risks, opportunities, and performance indicators across this portfolio and business operations. Fundamental to the role is managing the ongoing compliance with established and applicable ESG regulations and standards, identifying new opportunities, and effective reporting to management, investors, shareholders, and the Board of Directors on ESG progress and performance. The Head of ESG / ESG Manager will be a custodian of development impact orientation and maintain high ESG practices to ensure ESG remains a competitive advantage for the business. Reporting into the C suite, and fostering key relationships with other Heads of. The role will have responsibility for: Management and delivery of sustainability ratings, ESG certifications and reporting requirements, including managing the UN PRI, Climate Active and B Corp certification for the business and all ESG certifications for the portfolio Monitor and advise on legislative ESG changes impacting the Developers investor clients, projects and the business Develop and manage ESG compliance reporting for investor clients and for each certification and industry tool and improve and enhance the software, systems and processes that are required to manage ESG reporting effectively Develop and manage ESG compliance reporting processes with Third-Party Developer Partners and identify and manage the software, systems and processes required Provide Green Star advice and management where necessary Act as the Custodian of the suite of ESG Strategies, Policies and the Impact Measurement Framework that underpins their ESG commitment Expand the ESG measurement and certifications to include accreditations such as Global Real Estate ESG Benchmark (GRESB), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), SBTi (Science Based Targets), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Support the development and implementation of the Net Zero Transition Plan by coordinating the third-party consultant and the implementation plan Identify and build a ESG resource plan, identifying roles required to support the establishment of an ESG Team where required Education and Experience: 5 years' experience in ESG or other sustainability related field Tertiary qualification in Sustainability, ESG, Property, Development or similar field Project Management experience will be highly regarded Demonstrated experience and knowledge of ESG reporting including Carbon Accounting Competencies Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Strong influencing and negotiation skills Strong ESG management and reporting skills across a scale portfolio of assets Ability to build consensus with various stakeholders Demonstrated ability to exemplify business values Passionate for the developers ambition An enthusiastic contributor to a positive workplace culture Experience in and passion for the built environment Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic ,multi-disciplinary team Please connect with Celie Jones for a confidential conversation and more information.
