Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Queensland Section is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner to provide quality primary health care to the community.
Under the guidance of a PHC Registered Nurse, you will deliver a range of primary health care services, working closely with other health professionals to improve health outcomes.
About the Role:
* Provide holistic care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
* Act as a liaison between clients and healthcare providers, assisting with follow-up care and ensuring continuity of services.
* Contribute to local community projects that promote well-being.
* Offer health education to clients, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their health management.
* Carry out clinical assessments, tests, and procedures within your scope of practice, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop care plans.
* Promote health initiatives and preventive care within the community.
* Mentor and support team members in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Certificate IV or higher in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice).
* Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner.
* Experience in providing independent patient care and working within a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong knowledge of Indigenous health and culture.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
