Job Purpose
Adrenalin are one of Australia's leading Digital Product Agencies. We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join our growing team. This is a permanent full-time role and the successful candidate must be based out of Sydney (remote or hybrid working models available).
Reporting to the Director of Technology, you will bring a deep understanding of PHP and software development experience with key PHP platforms such as WordPress, Drupal and Magento. You will also have experience working on enterprise projects where you were either a lead or in a key decision-making position. As a PHP Developer, you’ll work side-by-side with the industry’s brightest minds, developing enterprise scale web applications for some of Australia's most ambitious brands while receiving mentorship, training and experience to push boundaries and supercharge your skills and career development.
On any given day you might:
* Develop industry-leading enterprise website projects for some of Australia's most well-known brands.
* Be working with Magento Ecommerce, WordPress CMS or Drupal CMS also development frameworks such as Laravel.
* Collaborate with various teams on enterprise solution design and technical specifications.
* Work with other developers to ensure the quality and integrity of the full development is maintained throughout the entire project lifecycle.
* Work closely with the PHP Team to make continual improvements to the development process.
* Follow Agile development methodologies.
* Plan your day-to-day work by defining tasks, functional/technical specification, and estimates as well as working towards a quality deliverable while adhering to overall project scope.

The ideal person has:
* Successfully built large scale responsive web applications in PHP
* Experience with custom module development and setup of Magento Ecommerce (without a dependency on UI plugins, themes and proprietary modules)
* Experience with custom/bespoke WordPress CMS software development (without a dependency on UI plugins and themes
* Experience with the Laravel framework
* Strong experience in responsive website development using the LAMP model (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
* Recent experience in working with JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax, CSS and HTML
* Worked in a similar position for a minimum of 5 years
* Strong understanding of Git
* Exceptional attention to quality and have the ability to think outside of the box
* Digital agency experience (desirable but not mandatory)
In addition, experience with two or more of the following would be highly regarded:
* Experience with Drupal CMS development (versions 7-10)
* Experience writing custom WordPress plugins
* Building REST APIs from the ground up
* Working with up CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins etc.
* Experience with MVC development patterns
* Decoupled/Headless Architecture
* Open-source contributions
* Modern JavaScript libraries – React, Angular etc.
* Docker
* Experience with Composer
* Unit Testing with PHPUnit
