Sirius College is a non-denominational independent school (F-12) and is one of the leading educational institutions in Victoria with a mission to empower students to become critical thinkers and socially responsible individuals, motivated by moral values and a belief in tolerance, diversity, and harmony.About this role:We are seeking Casual Campus Secretaries to provide essential support across various administrative and reception tasks at our campuses.As the first point of contact for students, parents, and staff, the role requires a professional and welcoming demeanour, strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.Job tasks and responsibilities (including but not limited to):Manage student attendance records, including tracking absences, issuing late passes, and sending SMS notifications to parents.Process student long-term absence documentation and liaise with coordinators.Handle reception duties, including answering calls, responding to enquiries, and making announcements via the Public Address (PA) system.Assist the finance department with administrative tasks, such as processing payments, handling petty cash, and supporting school fee collection.Maintain and organise the sick bay, ensuring first aid supplies are stocked and up to date.Administer first aid and medication to students as required, and coordinate with parents or emergency services when necessary.Organise and facilitate events such as school photos, immunisations, and dental visits.Support school excursions and camps when requested by the Campus Principal.Maintain school records, including documentation for medical conditions and action plans.Assist with general administrative tasks and other duties as directed by the Campus Principal or their delegate.Knowledge Skills & Abilities:Possess or be willing to obtain a Working With Children Check (WWCC).Possess or be willing to obtain the required First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis management certifications.Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills, and an ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, teachers, and external stakeholders.Excellent presentation and communication skills.Able to exhibit multi-tasking skills and work independently or as a team.Exceptional communication skills both face-to-face and on the phone.Proficiency in utilising IT systems.Job Applications close: Monday, 12th May 2025 **Early applications are appreciated to assist the interview process.
