Greater Shepparton City Council – Shepparton VICSalary:$98,273.24 per annum pro rataClosing:Friday 15 November 2024Part time(16hrs p/w)- PermanentGreater Shepparton City Council is seeking a passionate and qualified Immunisation Nurse to fill the role of Senior Immunisation Nurse.Council's Immunisation Team delivers 8 public immunisation clinics each month targeting infants from 0-4 years and the general public according to the National Immunisation Program. The Immunisation Team also visits all secondary schools in Greater Shepparton to provide scheduled vaccines to years 7 and 10 students, and businesses for seasonal flu vaccinations.As Council's Senior Immunisation Nurse, your role will include:Coordination of an efficient and effective immunisation service;Supervision and rostering of the casual immunisation nurse pool;Provide clinical advice in relation to eligibility for vaccination, including preparation of catch-up Vaccination plan, and post vaccination care;Administration of age appropriate scheduled vaccinations to the community of Greater Shepparton in accordance with the Australian Immunisation Handbook, The National Immunisation Schedule and Victorian Government funded immunisation program.Council is seeking someone with leadership experience in providing quality clinical care to a diverse range of clients, reviewing service delivery and developing procedures, and a flair for easing the nerves of anxious clients.It is a prerequisite of this position that the incumbent holds and maintains:Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board as a Nurse Division 1;Current certificate of competency as a Nurse Immuniser in accordance with Victorian Government Gazette – No. S518 – 3 October 2022;Current Victorian Working with Children Check (employee).This position would suit someone who wants to work a few regular hours a week and enjoy the excellent employment conditions offered by Greater Shepparton City Council.For further information about this position, please contact Samantha Crowe, Team Leader – Environmental Health on (03) 5832 9***.#J-18808-Ljbffr
