25th March, 2025 We currently have an exciting and very rare opportunity for a Community Engagement Coordinator to join the team in our Albany outreach centre.
Supporting our clients living with neurological conditions (including MS, Parkinson's, Huntington's, Motor Neurone Disease, Acquired Brain Injury and Stroke) our Albany Outreach facility promotes a sense of belonging and community .
We provide a number of fun and engaging activities (e.g., arts & crafts, board games, quizzes and team games), in a safe and social environment that allow our clients to interact and build social connections.
As the Community Engagement Coordinator you will aim to provide a positive and welcoming environment, you will be seeking client engagement and participation by providing meaningful activities and encouraging a community environment for our clients.
A typical day will involve providing a plan of activities encouraging clients to engage in activities, supervising our Outreach Support Workers and Volunteers, completing all relevant administration duties (including banking weekly fundraising collections, record keeping and team meetings), and ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for all involved and supporting personal hygiene (for example meal assistance, toileting, and mobility assistance).
Our 'must haves' Minimum of a Cert III in Community Services, or equivalent.
Experience in leading or supervising a team.
Exposure to program planning and delivery.
NDIS workers screening check (or willingness to obtain.)
Current CPR Certificate (we can help you there if not!)
And the benefits?
As a not-for-profit organisation we are fortunate to be able to offer generous salary packaging options to all our employees.
Currently up to $18,500 can be packaged to cover things like living expenses, mortgage payments, or car leasing – this means you pay less tax on your income!
We also offer generous leave policies, discounts on major retailers and an opportunity to do (what we think is) challenging and rewarding work every day.
But above all you will be a part of our purpose at MSWA to empower Western Australians living with neurological conditions to live their best life.
Do you believe in life not limits?
If you're prepared to join us in making a significant impact, apply now and let's discuss what life at MSWA looks like.
