This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization's infrastructure and contribute to the delivery of essential healthcare services.About the Role:As the IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a complex server uplift project, encompassing both SQL server upgrades and Windows Server operating system upgrades. Your expertise in managing similar infrastructure projects will be crucial to the success of this initiative.Key Responsibilities:Plan, execute, and close the server uplift project, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.Manage project scope, risks, and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies.Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, database, and application teams.Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation.Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders, providing regular updates and status reports.Manage vendor relationships and ensure the delivery of contracted services.Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and security standards.Specifically manage the SQL Server upgrade and consolidation, and the Windows Server OS uplift projects.Manage the uplift of approximately 320 Windows Servers.Manage the upgrade and consolidation of a significant number of SQL servers and databases.Required Skills and Experience:Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a strong track record of delivering infrastructure projects.Significant experience managing server uplift projects, including SQL server upgrades and Windows Server operating system upgrades.Strong understanding of SQL Server and Windows Server technologies.Experience with managing projects involving a large number of servers and databases.Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience in the healthcare sector is highly desirable.Formal project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.What We Offer:This is an opportunity to lead a high-profile, impactful project.Competitive daily rateFlexible working arrangements with remote/hybrid options.Chance to work with a leading healthcare organisation.Supportive and collaborative team environment.
