Job Summary ( Purpose) :
The Retail Marketing Director will lead the category strategy, retail execution and Go To Market (GTM) team. The Retail Marketing Director is responsible for managing a team that is developing and executing commercial strategies to achieve defined business objectives across all categories. This role involves close collaboration with the customer development, marketing, and supply teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of business initiatives. The Retail Marketing lead will possess a deep understanding of market dynamics, consumer behaviour, and retail environments, and will leverage this knowledge to enhance brand presence and drive sales growth.
Critical to this exciting role, is an ability to work within a cross functional team in a fast paced environment with numerous internal stakeholders.
This person will champion a growth mindset with strong ambitions to grow, underpinned by data, insights, best practice learning and collaboration.
Main Responsibilities :
Team Leadership:
1. Lead and develop a team of professionals.
2. Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
3. Help team to develop, negotiate and implement Category management initiatives including 6P+A plans (product, placement, price, promotion, POP, persuasion and availability)
Strategy Development:
4. Develop and implement customer strategies and 6Ps that deliver Superior Retail Execution across the market
5. Champion key KPI scorecards driving continuous improvement - sales growth, share growth ahead of category, reduce OOS and more.
6. Identify key opportunities and challenges in the market and develop plans to address them.
7. Support in Revenue Growth Management (RGM) initiatives - working with your team to implement and maintain category initiatives. Driving retailer efficiencies and margin improvements.
Planning:
8. Manage annual customer plans and budgets.
9. Own the monthly commercial processes and calendar
Collaboration and Communication:
10. Work closely with the customer development, marketing, and supply teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of marketing initiatives.
11. Collaborate with global to learn best practices that can be adapted locally.
Get External
12. Active with customers and build relationships that drive credibility
13. Understanding retail analytics and leverage the insight to storytell and unlock opportunities.
Required (Education, Knowledge required, Language skills, etc)
14. Bachelor’s degree
15. At least 10 years of working experience
16. Excellent communicative skills
17. Strong social skills and an expert in dealing with customers
Preferred Requirements:
18. Experience working in consumer product goods preferred
19. Microsoft Office or Google Suite proficiency (i.e, Sheets, Slides, Docs) preferred
