* Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join the growing business with an existing tenure at a pre-eminent non-bank lender or possibly a CRE Banking team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the origination, structuring, and execution of private debt transactions for the senior originators in the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 2-5 years of relevant experience to advance their career in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
o Transaction Support: Assist in the analysis, structuring, and execution of private debt transactions, with a focus on investment and development real estate transactions.
o Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, perform scenario analysis, and support decision-making processes.
o Due Diligence: Conduct detailed due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial analysis, credit assessment, and risk evaluation.
o Market Research: Perform market research and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the private debt and structured finance sectors.
o Portfolio Management: Support the ongoing management of existing investments, including monitoring performance, preparing reports, and making recommendations for portfolio adjustments.
o Documentation: Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda, pitch books, and other transaction-related documentation.
o Collaboration: Work closely with senior team members, external advisors, and clients to facilitate successful deal execution and portfolio management.
Qualifications:
o Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in a relevant deals team within a private debt, non-bank lender, banking, transaction services or real estate capital markets business.
o Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, ACA) would be an advantage.
