Position Profile:
The successful applicant(s) of this vacancy will act as the BMHU Bed Manager and is responsible to facilitate admission processes for patients referred for admission to BMHU from the Kimberley and Pilbara regions. You will be responsible for providing timely and specialised clinical mental health nursing consultancy service to Emergency Department (ED) and other clinical staff of Broome Hospital. You will be responsible to triage and conduct mental health assessments of patients presenting to ED and who may be considered at risk or requiring specialised acute mental health assessment. You will provide assistance and information to carers. You will conduit and link in liaising with relevant others in the hospital, BMHU and community mental health services.
