What You’ll Do As an Analyst in the Revenue Assurance team, your focus will be to deliver financial benefit for Telstra by minimising Revenue leakage & optimizing Costs across the company. You will use Data Analysis, Stakeholder Management and Influencing techniques to identify & remediate opportunities. The primary responsibility of our Revenue Assurance team is to identify opportunities for revenue leakage across the product lifecycle, from customer orders to billing. Team members are expected to have mature data analysis skills to review large datasets and convert data outcomes into business insights. This role supports Senior Revenue Assurance Analysts by providing data assessments and insights, which are then used to address business problems and fix issues. Effective communication is crucial for converting data outcomes into business insights and presenting these insights clearly. Key Responsibilities: This is how you will bring the purpose of your role to life: Deliver the Revenue Assurance Program of Work (RA POW) to achieve key targets for Coverage, Assurance & Revenue Benefits. Prior experience in Billing, Revenue Assurance, Financial & Business Assurance fields. Develop & manage controls to identify revenue & cost leakage opportunities. Data Analysis - Analyse financial & billing data to identify trends, anomalies & optimise revenue management. Identify revenue leakage based on analysis performed. Support Data Extraction and Reporting - Utilize SQL and other data extraction tools to gather data from various repositories, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of revenue assurance metrics. Data Warehousing Management - Maintain and manage data warehousing systems such as EDW, BIDW, and DIDW, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for revenue assurance analysis. Leverage knowledge of provisioning and billing systems such as RASS, Amdocs, Flexcab, and Mica etc. to identify and address revenue leakage points effectively. Collaborate & Influence business teams to ensure remediation and prevention action from identified leakage is executed. Identify process gaps and key pain points in the processes leading to revenue leakages. Assist the Senior Revenue Assurance Analysts to track initiatives and activities. About you Essential Requirements: Ability to clearly and concisely convert data outcomes into actionable business insights. Intermediate skills in data analytics and SQL tools, including the ability to develop and run SQL queries for data extraction. Strong research skills to identify, source, and synthesize internal and external data for reporting and analysis, solving problems, and making informed decisions. Experience with large transactional datasets, validating and interpreting data quickly, and planning data-driven solutions to address commercial problems and extract meaningful insights. Good knowledge of Telstra’s data warehouses. E.g. TDW, EDW, BIDW and/or exposure to some database management systems Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, along with proficiency in other MS Office Suite products like PowerPoint and Word. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey business problems and insights.
