This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-level strategic advice on policy and programs, translating data and research into innovative, evidence-based policy responses. The successful candidate will have the chance to work closely with a variety of stakeholders such as government agencies, non-government sector, universities, and private enterprises to improve health outcomes for South Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop implementation and evaluation plans to deliver priority actions.
* Provide high level expert strategic advice on health policy and programs.
* Prepare ministerial briefings, discussion papers, cabinet submissions, and reports to inform legislative change and policy development.
* Translate data and research into innovative, evidence-based policy and programmatic responses.
* Develop relationships with stakeholders across various sectors to facilitate engagement and progress strategies.
* Monitor implementation plans and projects.
Key Requirements:
* Demonstrated ability to develop effective policy based on scientific enquiry.
* Proven experience in managing priorities, deadlines, and workloads independently while managing large projects.
* Ability to engage positively with relevant stakeholders to influence bespoke strategy development.
* Strong problem-solving skills with proven ability to research, analyse complex problems, formulate solutions, and provide high-quality advice.
* Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing on complex issues.
* Significant experience in drafting Cabinet submissions, briefings, reports or other documentation for presentation to senior staff.
