About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Financial Controller to join our team on an initial 3 – 6-month contract engagement. You will be responsible for overseeing financial and management accounting functions, including reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.

Supporting the Operational Leadership Team, you will play a vital role in driving business decisions and maintaining financial compliance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities Oversee end-of-month processes, including reconciliations, profit and loss statements, variance reporting, balance sheets, and cash flow analysisManage and supervise all financial accounting functions, including General Ledger, Debtors, Creditors, Payroll, and BASEnsure compliance with payroll, superannuation, accounting & internal financial controls/policiesMonitor cash flow, prepare cash flow reporting, forecasting, and variance analysisLiaise with and assist with external audit activities as requiredAssist in the preparation of reports for key stakeholders within the businessLead, mentor, and coach members of the finance teamPrepare, deliver, and assist with presentations, including staff inductions and roadshowsCommit to continuous improvement around processes, procedures and finance functionsAbout You A natural leader with demonstrable ability to coach, mentor and grow finance professionalsExcellent communication skills, able to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiencesStrong critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesHigh integrity, professionalism, and adaptabilityResilient under pressure and able to manage multiple prioritiesCommitment to diversity, inclusion, and ethical standardsEssential Skills & Qualifications Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in Financial Accounting/Management rolesAbility to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police CheckWillingness to complete Child Protection TrainingHighly Regarded Qualified CA or working towards itIntermediate to advanced skills in MS Office, particularly ExcelExperience with Sage, SAP, Advanced MYOB, Netsuite, and payroll systems is advantageous but not essentialWhat We Offer A supportive and dynamic work environment with opportunities for personal and professional development.A chance to make a real impact in a growing organisation.This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled Financial Controller to make a meaningful contribution while advancing their career in a supportive and values-driven organisation.
