The role supports the coordination of and is accountable for service delivery, human and material management, expertise in the health care team, communication and highly developed data analysis and fiscal management to deliver safe, quality, effective and efficient healthcare provision.The successful personYou will have:Ability to collaborate and communicate with all divisional leaders across Hospital and Health Service (HHS) and the Department of Health leadership team to create and implement business rules, procedures and systems to ensure data is consistent and transparent, resulting in organisational cohesiveness that delivers safe standardised care.Autonomous decision-making in tactical and operational matters pertaining to the patient flow and healthcare redesign.Experience in proactively leading and supporting education strategies as core nursing midwifery business promoting a culture of lifelong learning building capacity and capability in the workforce.Ability to provide transformational leadership, operational management and expert advice, in interprofessional health care delivery including clinical redesign.Highly developed interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, negotiation, consultation and communication skills to deal with the needs and concerns of internal and external stakeholders and health service partners, including the ability to manage people and situations flexibly and responsively.About usThe Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland.
