You will be completing your Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker). This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in the Construction Industry.EDMS Australia will provide uniforms and a starter toolkit. You will be provided with training over the duration of your apprenticeship to achieve your Nationally Recognised High Risk Work Licence. This typically includes Forklift, Elevated Work Platform and Dogger in accordance with the EDMS Training program.As a Permanent - Full Time apprentice, this role offers the opportunity to learn through on-the-job training plus formal training through TAFE Queensland. The apprentice will work alongside other apprentices of varying levels, under the guidance of experienced boilermakers and supervisors to gain practical experience and knowledge in metal fabrication and welding processes.Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation and cutting of materials according to specificationsLearn to operate machinery such as guillotines, presses, and welding equipmentFollow safety procedures and guidelines at all timesParticipate in on-the-job training to develop skills in metal shaping, bending, and assemblingWork collaboratively with senior staff to understand technical drawingsMaintain a clean and organized work environmentMain Tasks:Observe and learn from experienced boilermakers regarding metal fabrication techniquesAssist in measuring, cutting, and shaping metal componentsGain hands-on experience in welding processes such as MIG, STICK and TIG WeldingMaterials include mild steel, stainless steel and aluminiumContribute to the assembly of metal structures such as pressure vessels, tanks, and pipesParticipate in quality control inspections to ensure products meet required standardsThe apprentice will have the opportunity to develop practical skills while contributing to various projects within the company.
