About The Opportunity
We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Facilities Manager at our brand-new state of the art Milwaukee Tool Distribution Centre situated at Melbourne Airport, Tullamarine.
The key focus of this pivotal role will be to effectively and safely manage our facilities, equipment and environment including internal and external stakeholders ensuring that Milwaukee operates in the safest and most cost-effective manner in line with world class facilities management standards.
Reporting to the DC Manager your day to day will include:
1. Work closely with all stakeholders across DC operations to review current processes and instil best practice models for the control of all facilities related touchpoints.
2. Ensure compliance with all appropriate and applicable WH&S policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
3. Landlord key point of contact for all maintenance and repair tasks.
4. Site’s key “Contractor Management” lead ensuring the interaction between on-site contractors and staff is fully risk assessed and managed at all times.
5. Coordinating and maintaining proactive equipment maintenance tasks
6. Managing all insurance and landlord inspections pertaining to the building and its contents.
7. Educating team members on facilities management and building a culture that is aligned with the company values.
8. Prepare monthly reports to provide insights into the business.
9. Provide a visual rolling 12-month service/maintenance schedule of all major site items
About YOU
To be successful in this role ideally you will have a proven background in a similar Facilities Management role within a large Distribution Centre. You enjoy working for a fast-paced business driven by innovation and service excellence and can handle multiple priorities, in addition you have the following skills/attributes:
10. Outstanding people and communication skills with a health and safety-first focus
11. Ability to work autonomously, multitask and prioritise
12. Exceptional attention to detail
13. Building Management System experience is highly advantageous.
14. Previous experience in the transport/logistics industry and assisting in the setup of a DC environment with automation is advantageous
15. Self-motivator with great adaptability
16. Practical working experience with MS Office package
