PERSOLKELLY is one of Australia's largest and longest serving recruitment providers.Delivering both quality temporary and permanent options, we specialise in the recruitment of Professional, ICT, Government, STEM, Management and Executive talent.Role Overview The Communication and Media Officer role is focused on developing and implementing strategic communication and media activities to support the successful delivery of the 2025 State General Election.The coordinator will contribute to writing, editing, and producing content for various publications, including web content, promotional materials, media releases, social media posts, and speeches.Key Responsibilities: Communications: Develop and implement internal and external communications strategies to meet the 2025 State General Election timeline and program requirements.Write, edit, and produce content for various formats including media releases, social media posts, website content, newsletters, and talking points.Ensure content quality and accuracy across all platforms (website, social media, intranet) through regular quality assurance checks.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication activities and assets.Work collaboratively across teams to ensure communication materials meet the needs of diverse groups, including Aboriginal and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.Media: Support the Media Manager with media services, communication, and liaison to promote the WA Electoral Commission during the election period.Assist with coordinating media launches, press conferences, and media interviews.Identify media opportunities and collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance media coverage.Respond to media requests, including photography, filming, and media access.Maintain a media contact database and assist in media evaluation.Flexibly support out-of-hours media events and activities as needed.Other Responsibilities: Contribute to the achievement of the Branch's goals and objectives.Participate in the overall activities of the Branch and take on different tasks as required.Perform other duties as assigned to support the delivery of communication and media activities for the 2025 election.Essential Skills & Experience: Experience : Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in planning, delivering, and monitoring strategic communication, media, and social media activities.Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent- Desirable Communication Skills : Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and liaise with diverse internal and external stakeholders.Skilled in writing persuasive and clear content across various platforms and formats.Technical Proficiency : Strong administrative skills using Microsoft Office Suite, design software, social media, and content management systems.Project Management : Proven ability to manage projects, make decisions, and achieve outcomes within deadlines and budgets.Problem-Solving : Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and implement effective communication strategies.Tenure: 1st Dec 2024- 31 March 2025 Hours of work: 8:30am -
