This is a full-time position with a competitive remuneration package including base salary, 11.5% superannuation.
Main Responsibilities
* Support/work with the engineering team on the ongoing structural and R&D projects/tasks
* Work collaboratively to develop suitable test methods for various prototypes and materials
* Coordinate and attend lab testing with the R&D lab technicians, and analyse/document/report the test results in a proper test report
* Structural analysis of new and current products/structures, which involve manual calculations and/or FEA modelling
* Early research, concept development and investigation of prototypes, products and manufacturing processes
* Suggest ideas for report and document requirements for all testing
* Read, interpret, and comply with engineering codes/standards and client specifications.
* Communication with current or potential clients and suppliers regarding new or existing product
* Communicate to the engineering team and the wider CFT business about new and/or existing products and work with all relevant departments/individuals to ensure an efficient outcome is achieved

* Proficiency or capability to learn SPACE GASS, Idea Statica and Strand 7
* High attention to detail with a practical mindset
* Friendly and positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to work independently and remain task-focused
* Ability to prioritise and organize work and work under pressure
* Commitment to safe work practices
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in structural engineering or relevant tertiary studies
