Casual Community Care Worker (WHA3/WHA4) - Coober Pedy
Job Summary:
This casual position involves providing support to individuals who are aged, frail or disabled and wish to remain living in their own home with some assistance, or are living in a Residential Aged Care facility. The role is integral to the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network's Consumer Directed Care model, where consumers have control over their care arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing cleaning, transport, and social support services to consumers in their homes or in Residential Aged Care facilities.
* Working collaboratively with consumers, their families, and other health professionals to deliver high-quality care outcomes.
* Maintaining consumer independence and promoting choice and control over care arrangements.
Requirements:
* Flexible, conscientious, and empathetic individual able to work autonomously in the community.
* Ability to provide quality outcomes and maintain consumer independence where possible.
Classification and Qualifications:
The position is multi-classed as WHA3/WHA4 and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience. To be eligible at WHA4 level, candidates must have completed Certificate III or higher in Individual Support (Aged Care, Disability, or Home and Community).
