AQ have a team of inhouse interior designers that deliver projects across all the organisation's sites.AQ Design is going through significant expansions and are seeking a skilled Interior Designer to bring creativity and expertise to a vibrant team.We currently have several various scaled projects underway which will allow you to have immediate impact and input into.The role will require you to be involved in projects from our headquarters in Upper Mt Gravatt across our various sites.Your Opportunity 6-month contract with a view to extend based on ongoing projects Working hours 8.30am-5pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 8.30-3pm = 76hr fortnight The role will be accountable for the design and execution of projects, collaborating with AQ Designers and the Design Manager as well as external Architects & consultants to deliver excellent quality work.The role is diverse, requiring multilayered skills across design disciplines and a keen eye for all aspects of design as well as the ability to execute strong design projects of various scales, budget and timeframes.Other key factors of this role include: Key Responsibilities: Deliver design solutions with a focus on innovation and user-centricity Take ownership of assigned projects from inception to completion Produce 2D sketch designs, 3D models to communicate detailed designs at DD stage, comprehensive construction documentation and schedules, including finishes Furniture and artwork/decorative selections and coordination Manage supplier relationships and oversee project logistics Full FFE procurement, assisting and coordination of Furniture, Fixings, Equipment selections and placement of orders Accountability for projects assigned and ability to see them through to completion.Managing multiple projects at one time Flexibility to travel to sites across Brisbane, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Toowoomba and NSW Assisting with project photoshoots and styling spaces in preparation for the shoot Qualifications and skills: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design Minimum of 4 years' experience in a design studio environment Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite Meticulous attention to detail, strong design skills and ability to work independently Familiarity with Building Code of Australia (BCA) and relevant Australian Standards National Police Check clearance and current Australian Open Driver's License Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills Ability to work independently and trouble shoot Strong time management and organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks The advertised role will be a full-time position.The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to be a part of a small team producing quality work within the Aged Care sector.Please submit your CV, Cover letter and sample of your portfolio experience to Senior Recruitment Advisor Candice Francis
