Job Description
Our WT Brisbane office continues to experience unparalleled growth and with this comes opportunity for an established Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager to join our highly experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate Queensland office.
This is an incredible opportunity for someone early on in their Cost Management career to join the Brisbane office to work with a high-profile major retail and consumer services client as well as the wider Brisbane buildings team which includes exciting health, commercial and residential projects.
The role would be to join an established team as a second in charge (2IC), with the opportunity (early-mid 2024) to take on the account as the State Lead.
We're ideally looking for experience managing:
2. Master-plan and feasibility budgets
3. Cost checking of developing design
4. Value engineering
5. Tender evaluations and analysis
6. Contract negotiations
7. Cash flow projects
8. Procurement
9. Cost reporting
10. Evaluation of variations
11. Valuations
12. Final account reporting
13. Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
14. Investment analysis
15. Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans
16. Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors
17. Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities

Qualifications
We would love to hear from you if you have:
18. Relevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
19. Full Australian working rights and currently located in Australia
20. RICS / AIQS accredited candidates will be highly regarded
21. Proficient in the use of Cost X
22. Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients
23. Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a team and control multiple projects/client commissions
