Matic has established itself as a market leader in transport service solutions and draws its strength from a customer-centric focus, our employees and a determination to succeed.The Opportunity:Due to our continued and expected growth, we are seeking a suitably experienced Mechanic with strong Heavy Duty Diesel and Trailer experience to join our Bibra Lake Trailer Repairs operations in Adelaide, South Australia.This position will operate from our Adelaide Depot in Wingfield working Monday- Friday with on call requirements on nights & weekends.This role would be suitable for a locally based candidate and will be responsible for conducting all servicing, maintenance and repairs for our road transport equipment with preferred experience in Volvo, Mac, Kenworth.Job tasks and responsibilities:Undertaking and completion of scheduled maintenance, servicing, repairs, breakdowns and general fleet maintenance.Attending to breakdowns and diagnosis of maintenance problems.Completion of all necessary paperwork - job cards, maintenance checklists, work orders, service reports.Completing general heavy vehicle and mobile plant maintenance and repairs at Adelaide and on surrounding regional worksites as required.This position does not involve rebuilding motors etc - it is more completing all the general servicing, repairs, scheduled maintenance, breakdowns on all plant and equipment.Demonstrate experience with Prime Mover, Heavy Haulage platform trailers and general Trailing Equipment.Experience in Caterpillar, Cummins, Kenworth and Volvo Trucks.Relevant licences and tickets.Ability to complete tasks within timeframes.Strong skills in time management and self-motivated.Excellent communication skills including verbal and written, good listening skills.Comply with Drug and Alcohol screening.Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical.Unrestricted manual C Class licence.MC Licence would be an advantage.Working at heights.Platform experience.Apply Now:Please Submit your application and cover letter via Seek.
