Our Breeding Farms in Wellington, NSW, are integral to our mission, focusing on producing stock that meets our rigorous standards for health, genetic potential, and biosecurity.The OpportunityAviagen Australia is looking for two full-time Assistant Farm Managers based in Wellington, NSW.Each Assistant Farm Manager will be based on one farm within the Wellington Complex, reporting directly to the Farm Manager, and will assist with day-to-day operations, supporting production objectives, and stepping up in the Manager's absence.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Managing stock to achieve production standards, including feed ordering and vaccination programsLeading and developing farm staff, including recruitment, training, and performance managementConducting audits with a focus on biosecurity, health, and safetyCoordinating maintenance schedules and ensuring facilities are clean and operationalControlling costs and participating in budget planning processesPromoting and maintaining health and safety compliancePreparing and submitting timely and accurate farm reportsWhat We Need From YouTo qualify, you will need a high level of poultry knowledge and a proven record of leadership and management. A minimum of 2 years experience in poultry production operations will also be essential.
