Shamrock Civil Engineering is a reputable mid-tier civil construction contractor with well-established connections in the civil construction and mining industries. We are currently seeking a Payroll & HR Administrator to join our welcoming and supportive team based in our Head Office at Carol Park. This position is a full-time position and will be reporting directly to the CFO.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the Payroll and Business Support manager with end to end Weekly and fortnightly Staff Payroll runs.
* Checking and correcting timesheets, liaising with staff and managers to ensure accuracy.
* Importing payroll data and reviewing transactions.
* Finalising payroll runs and uploading bank files for payment.
* Setting up new employees and processing terminations in payroll systems.
* Assisting with payroll reporting and queries.
* Provide assistance when directed with booking Travel and accommodation, both on an ad hoc basis as well as for Rosters staff.
* When required, provide assistance to accounts payable, by maintaining the accounts payable functions by ensuring that the appropriate approvals and documentation are received, invoices are processed correctly, and all relevant information is entered into Vista.
* Perform general administrative HR duties - Other duties as directed by management or assisting other staff within the department as requested.
The successful candidate will possess:
* Previous experience in payroll, accounts receivable, or HR preferred.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
* Experience with payroll software (e.g., Vista) and accounting systems is a plus.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
