About the role…
Due to an internal promotion we are seeking a new Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our APG team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of warehouse incoming operations working Monday to Thursday 2:30pm – 10:30pm and Friday 12:00pm – 8:00pm.
As the successful candidate, you will be working closely with your supervisors and together you will deliver exceptional customer service and meet or exceed your KPIs. You will play an active role in ensuring safety, efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives are innate to the operation.
We encourage our teams to look for ways to continuously improve, whilst achieving agreed set targets.
About you, skills and experience…
To be successful in this role you will require a responsible sense of purpose and objectives have :
* Warehouse supervisor role experience with a firm knowledge of distribution.
* Management of team KPIs to ensure the teams meet or exceed targets on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
* Vigilant around health and safety practices within the warehouse
* Concise communication, working closely with the Operations Manager, customer service team, drivers & warehouse staff to ensure customer delivery requirements and incoming receipt requirements are met.
* Confident in being able to manage a fast-moving environment.
* Outstanding people skills, including a genuine interest in developing their people.
* Be team orientated, having a sense of purpose, respecting safety and providing feedback to ensure staff performance.
* Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills.
