Position Responsibilities
1. Heavy focus on driving revenue through sales to both existing accounts and new business development.
2. Develop sales strategies and tactical plans in line with company strategy.
3. Research and identify projects suited to our current offerings and track timelines in the projects’ procurement phases.
4. Establish communication channels with key decision makers in target accounts, educate client on our value proposition and provide key interface role between the client and our tendering team.
5. Demonstrate the technical features and advantages of our products to new and existing customers.
6. Assist in the preparation of tenders and the follow-up of client proposals.
7. Prepare for weekly sales meetings with the Managing Director.
8. Make monthly, quarterly and annual market and sales analysis reports.
9. Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance.
10. Identify new markets and business opportunities by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
11. Effectively utilise our cloud-based Customer Relationship Management system to follow sales through to completion.
Skills and Abilities
* The specialist would need a strong understanding of transformer technology, including different types, applications, and specifications.
* Strong industry networks and relationship.
* Bachelor’s Degree (Electrical engineering) essential.
* MV transformer experience highly preferred.
* Mining/resources or oil and gas industry background desirable.
* High level English written and oral communication skills.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering, with a desire to move into a sales/client interface role.
* Good command of Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
* Has or willing to develop a social media presence (predominantly LinkedIn).
* Excellent interpersonal skills a must for client relationship management.
* Strong presentation, sales prospecting and negotiation skills.
* Time management and organisational skills.
* Energetic, personable team player – we need someone who works well with all internal and external stakeholders.
* Self-management skills – we require someone who takes responsibility for their actions and holds themselves accountable.
