As a team member you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles, and wind turbines.
Lynas is embarking on an expansion in Western Australia, and we have an opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Officer wanting to join us on our journey. Lynas recently announced an approximately $500M project to expand the capacity at the Mt Weld mine and concentration plant to meet accelerating market demand for rare earth minerals.
The Role(s)
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Officer to join us on the Mt Weld Expansion Project. This position will be offered for a 12 month fixed term Contract, 8 days on/ 6 days off dayshift roster.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Lead the Operational Readiness of the warehouse for the Mt Weld Expansion Project.
* Liaise with transport contractor for the timely delivery of all goods to the Mt Weld site.
* Follow up with vendors for service timeframes, delivery of goods to provide an efficient service to the Mt Weld operations.
* Expedite orders, report and update records accordingly.
* Receive, unload, unpack, and confirm quantities against Pronto purchase orders for accuracy.
* Store inventory in a safe secure manner that is easily located and in a logical sequence.
* Manage and coordinate inventory requirements for commissioning and future operation.
* Interact and build positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintaining tidiness and cleanliness of the stores.
* Make sure all procedures are followed and safety rules respected.
Skills & Experience:
* Valid C class - WA Manual Drivers Licence
* Forklift License
* Diploma in warehouse management or inventory management
* The ability to interpret mechanical and electrical maintenance parts and requirements for maintaining a Fixed Plant.
* 3 – 5 years as Warehouse / Purchasing Officer in the Mining Industry.
