The school continues to forge a reputation for academic success, strong pastoral care, attracting and retaining high quality staff and the innovative programs and flexible learning options that meet the needs of all students.The RoleThe role of the Technical Support Officer is to maintain the school's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems and network, ensuring reliability and sustainability to enhance the learning environment.Suitable applicants will provide advice on technical issues and collaborate with administration to maintain and develop the network system. They will also provide technical support and training to all users throughout the school site on various software applications and provide access to systems and resources. Responsibilities include installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of information systems and ICT equipment in accordance with the school business needs and Department of Education policies and guidelines. This includes maintaining accurate records of ICT assets and resources and the development, implementation, and monitoring of a replacement plan.Applicants should ideally have the ability to work as part of a versatile team, liaise with other Department of Education personnel, and communicate with external providers. Experience working in a school would be highly desirable, particularly a thorough understanding of standard operating systems and their associated software.
