YHA Cape Byron, featuring 117 beds across 29 rooms, offers inviting common areas surrounding a spacious, heated pool and BBQ zone, perfect for socializing and enjoying your stay. With surfboards and boogie boards for hire, you can easily explore the beaches. Ideally located in the town centre, this hostel is just 200 meters from the beach and cycling paths, and directly opposite the Jarjumirr Skate Park.
About the role:
YHA Cape Byron is seeking an enthusiastic Receptionist/Housekeeper to enhance our team on a part-time basis. The perfect candidate will dynamically support both the front desk and housekeeping teams, committed to delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining the property's immaculate condition, in line with the esteemed standards associated with YHA properties.
Day-to-day duties include:
Front desk: Providing excellent customer service to property guests and contributing to the property's friendly and cheerful atmosphere, answering guest queries and providing helpful local knowledge and recommendations, checking in and out guests and providing them with information that will assist in an enjoyable stay, resolving any guest concerns or disputes and escalating to relevant management when appropriate.
Housekeeping: duties include refreshing communal spaces, bathrooms and accommodation rooms, kitchens, monitoring and replenishing stock and ensuring our property remains sparkling clean.
