How it Works: Our Graduate Research role is a unique opportunity to learn the intricacies of the seed industry through on-the-job training alongside experienced research staff. Our graduate program equips you with the technical knowledge and practical skills to effectively transition into a permanent research position.
This role is responsible for assisting the research team with managing and executing high quality data trial sites to support hybrid advancement and positioning decisions.
This role offers a 2-year program with key learning opportunities within the southern research team as well as opportunities across other facets of the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow professionally from an entry-level position into the agriculture research industry.
This role's preferred base of operations would be Horsham VIC or Combram VIC, and Pioneer Seeds Australia may assist the preferred candidate with moving expenses to support this relocation.
About the Role: Every day is different, and you will work within a dynamic research team to execute the trialling program. There will also be opportunities to be exposed to other areas of the business including sales and production.
A typical day could include:
Trial design and implementation Data interpretation Agricultural chemicals and their application Drone Operation Plant and harvest trials Professional Development The graduate will receive on-the-job learning based on localised operations specific to the southern research team to ensure you gain a thorough understanding of all elements in the research and portfolio life cycle.

Attendance at department-specific and all company conferences to promote cross-collaboration and learning for all business units here at GenTech Seeds. About You: To be successful in this role you must have a passion and experience in agriculture. An undergraduate degree in Agricultural Science or similar would be beneficial; however, it is not essential with the right level of experience.
