About the role Reporting to the Head of Asset Management and based onsite at the corporate Homebush West office, you will lead the delivery of customer-focused Facilities Management services across Harvey Norman’s national property portfolio. You will play a key role in shaping and optimising the Facilities Management operations, ensuring the property portfolio continues to thrive and meet the needs of both the retail and property businesses. This role is based in Sydney, with frequent travel across Australia. You will; Ensure property compliance with Fire Life Safety regulations and standards, maintaining certification to the relevant state-based criteria. Direct the efficient use of budgets, suppliers, and internal resources to support FM operations. Develop, implement, and improve Facilities Management processes and systems, focusing on operational excellence and efficiency. Spearhead national procurement initiatives for preventative maintenance services and capital equipment investments. Supervise local, regional, and national programs and projects. Ensure the ongoing reliable performance and maintenance of essential services, plant, and equipment. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including tenants, property owners, admin managers, and corporate staff. Provide strategic leadership and technical guidance to a team of Facilities Managers, supporting their professional development. About you You will be an experienced Facilities Manager with a proven track record in leading projects, strategy, and operations across a diverse commercial, retail, and industrial portfolio, including freehold and leasehold assets. You will have a strong work ethic and customer-focused approach to ensure optimum service. You will also have: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently while managing competing priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to foster effective relationships at all levels. Technical knowledge to formulate effective preventative maintenance programs and asset management plans. Proficient in managing the tendering and procurement of building services and maintenance contracts. In-depth understanding of Workplace Health and Safety, compliance, and legislation impacting property management. A sound knowledge of statutory and legislative compliance relating to property management, ensuring all properties meet regulatory standards.
