Our work extends across various partnerships, including an established collaboration with Brophy Family and Youth Services in the South-West region of Victoria, where our Therapeutic Specialist position is based.
About the Role:
As a Therapeutic Specialist, your pivotal role involves a consultative focus, collaborating with Brophy staff across various program areas.
A significant focus of the role will be working alongside the Brophy Residential and Foster Care Teams, you will provide mentoring, consultation and training while delivering therapeutic support and counselling to children and young people in various care settings.
Your responsibilities extend to implementing trauma-informed approaches, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, and actively contributing to program development and evaluation.
Additionally, you'll support effective team dynamics, and fulfill administrative requirements, including writing comprehensive therapeutic assessments and plans, and maintain thorough case file documentation.
This role emphasises a commitment to promoting the rights and well-being of children, incorporating ongoing research, advocacy, and the delivery of specialised training in child abuse and trauma.
