We are looking to appoint a Mechanical Operator Maintainer to join our team at Snapper Point Power Station. Snapper Point is a 154 MW Gas Turbine Peaking Power Plant project located at Outer Harbour on the Lefevre Peninsula about 22 km north-west of Adelaide, South Australia. As an Operator Maintainer you will work with a multi-disciplinary team and will be responsible for performing routine, preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance and operation at the Power Station.

What you’ll do
* Perform routine, preventative, corrective, re-active maintenance and support with plant start-ups.
* Proactively maintain a safe working environment.
* Effectively utilise provided systems, processes and resources to ensure that Worley and our client’s business objectives are achieved.
* Assist in fostering a culture of continuous improvement by identifying improvements in maintenance activities and processes and communicate initiatives to the Maintenance Work Group Leader.
* Act upon requests from RMC in relation to faults and plant operation.
* Ensure Worley HSE standards are implemented and achieved.
* Ensure regulatory and statutory requirements records are kept.
* Assess risks and hazards involved in tasks and methods to manage hazards and prevent incidents and injury.
* Identify and report details of all non-conforming work in order to prevent future non-conformances.
* Develop with the work group JHA’s and risk assessments for tasks being undertaken.
What you’ll have
* Proficient in operating and maintaining gas turbine generators.
* Skilled in the upkeep of power plant and hydraulic systems.
* Previous experience within the Power industry.
* Mechanical Fitting trade qualification and experience.
* High Risk License in Turbine operations.
* In-depth knowledge of site HSE legislation and commitment to duty of care.
* Demonstrated proactive approach to HSE matters.
* Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office Suite and DCS systems.
* Ability to establish and sustain working relationships based on mutual respect and trust.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* High-level diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
* Current driver's license.
