Who we are: We’re a young, ambitious charity hiring our first Community Manager in Adelaide. We work with vulnerable Muslim children below the poverty line. Our dream is to end world hunger. Our work is to get children out of poverty, one school meal at a time.What we do: Without us, children whose family cannot afford daily meals must choose between child labour, child marriage or hunger. With us, they can come to school and eat warm, nutritious meals every day. And they can learn, develop and have a chance for a better future. It’s pretty inspiring!Who we are looking for: We welcome active, ambitious team members who have experience in community engagement, fundraising and/or sales. Our top hiring criteria are care for our mission, deep curiosity to develop your skills in these areas and a strong drive to get things done.Your contribution: You will join our small, nimble team as we build our presence in the region and implement more community engagement programs, encouraging our community to meet more, talk more, and achieve more impact together.Responsibilities:Manage Stakeholders & Relationships: Build and nurture relationships and strategic partnerships with principal donors, mosques and other community organizations.Educate donors, mosques and other community organizations about CRA’s work through various forms of communication, including in-person meetings and presentations.Act as the primary contact for a growing portfolio of principal donors.Grow CRA Brand presence in the Adelaide community: Develop CRA's brand, local programs, and physical presence in the region.In conjunction with CRA leadership, design and coordinate a regional strategy for expansion into specific cities and communities within Adelaide.Represent CRA at events and networking opportunities across the region, and plan and coordinate such events as needed.Partner with the marketing department by sharing ideas and helping shape regional fundraising campaigns.Qualifications:Have demonstrated ability to build and lead active team(s) of volunteers and supporters.Have experience working with community groups.Have excellent interpersonal skills, both with individuals and working in teams.Show evident potential for professional growth.Have a commitment to ethical excellence in all dealings and work.Hold a solid understanding of Religious Giving from an Islamic Perspective and have connections to members of the Muslim community and mosques.Broadly know the principles of fundraising and be able to participate in all areas of the development cycle.Be familiar with task management and communication platforms like Asana, Slack and Notion.Have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel locally within Adelaide.What you will get:Meaningful work: The hours you give to Charity Right will help children in systemic poverty have a meal, an education and a shot at a better future.
