Clarity Partners is working with a key client looking for their next Payroll Superstar to add to their team. Our client is a respected mining business who is on the search for a high volume Payroll Officer who can think outside the box and have a growth mindset to problem solve and ensure a smooth, efficient payroll process.
Base Pay Range A$85,000.00/yr - A$95,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities Process payroll for employees accurately and on time, including salaries, wages, bonuses, deductions, and benefits for a large fortnightly payroll. Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, tax documents, and leave balances. Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and tax regulations. Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to management and government agencies as required. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, deductions, and benefits. Calculate and process statutory deductions, such as taxes, social security, and retirement contributions. Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure accuracy in payroll transactions. Assist in the preparation of year-end payroll reports, tax filings, and audits. Stay updated with changes in payroll laws, regulations, and best practices. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations. Minimum Qualifications Proven experience as a Payroll Officer, preferably in the Mining or Resourcing industry. Knowledge of payroll systems and processing software (Chris 21, SAP SuccessFactors, Pronto). Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field. Strong understanding of payroll and tax regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other payroll-related software. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong organisational and time-management skills with an agile mindset. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to build relationships across the business. Strong problem-solving skills and can think outside the box.
