This will be a client facing role that will involve growing the existing client base, developing the business, and enhancing BDO’s tools and processes. Duties & Responsibilities: Building and mentoring a team of highly skilled internal audit and risk staffManaging a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industry sectors, with a focus on risk, controls and assuranceLeading client engagements and acting as a key contact and relationship owner with senior stakeholders to maintain strong relationshipsNegotiating with senior client stakeholders, facilitating complex workshops, reviewing reports and take full responsibility for the final deliverablesSupervising and undertaking fieldwork and prepare written reports or deliverables of a high quality and standard, adhering to budgets and timelinesUnderstand and apply the firm's professional delivery standards to deliver high-quality, insightful advice and exceptional client serviceDrive the development of new business solutions / service offeringsDrive the continuous improvement of current practice processes, tools and methodologiesCoach and mentor junior members of the teamDrive growth initiatives and business development of the practice while working with Partners / Associate Directors and other service lines across the broader BDO teamIndustry insight development About You A strong internal drive, a growth mindset and aspirations for leadership opportunitiesStrong business leadership skills (with Partnership potential) across dimensions like strategy, client and people management, business operations and financial acumenHigh level of experience in a similar role gained within the professional services industrySignificant experience in presenting to Executive management, Boards and ARCsA natural business development aptitude with evidence of existing network of decision makers and an ability to engage client, convert opportunities and grow the risk consulting practiceCertifications or qualifications relevant to the role (CIA, CA, CPA)Experience with IIA Standards and PracticesExtensive experience in delivering various types of internal audits covering operational, strategic, financial, regulatory/compliance and performance internal audits together with health checks, ‘deep dives’ etcStrong knowledge of business and IT-related risks, including process mapping and risk/control identification Why BDO?
