The unit supports and manages key policy initiatives supporting revenue optimisation and Medicare Compliance for public health services. The unit's purpose is to provide system leadership, though policy and guidance to revenue-based teams working across the Local Health Networks, who are responsible for optimising revenue outcomes and meeting revenue compliance requirements. It achieves this through: The development and maintenance of policies and guidelines (policy and governance). Strategy, education, and business reform across all patient revenue streams. Commonwealth department and jurisdictional consultation and engagement on system wide issues/matters. Working with LHNs to build Medicare compliance knowledge and skill. This role will be working on a number of key project initiatives including the 2025-30 NHRA Agreement, Commonwealth Assignment of Benefit Legislation and further Medicare Compliance initiatives. This role presents an excellent opportunity for someone with project management experience along with patient billing experience in an LHN to upskill within the department for 12 months.
